Japanese Shiatsu Massage Therapy originates from Japan. It has been a critical health and wellness prevention exercise adopted by Asian for many years.
The word Shiatsu translates to “finger pressure” in Japanese. It is truly a finger pressure massage method. Shiatsu Massage Therapist applies pressure to the body with the thumbs, finger, and palms to specific areas on the customer’s body.
The energy of the body can become blocked which results in sickness. The acupuncture and the Shiatsu both massage therapy unblock and balance the body’s energy flow resulting in overall health and fitness. In acupuncture needles are used while in Shiatsu Amanda Crawshaw studies and qualified in Sports massage, Therapeutic (Swedish) massage, an introduction into Thai massage and most recently obtained an Acupuncture, degree with the renowned Northern College of Acupuncture in York. She also works at Farfield House Osteopath Clinic in Keighley on Monday afternoons/evenings Farfield House Osteopathy Clinic. She is now currently divided her time between Regent House on Wednesdays and Fridays, Leeds Wellbeing Centre Leeds Wellbeing Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She also works at Farfield House Osteopath Clinic in Keighley.
