Baby Massage and Sue Baughan
Sue Baughan has four grown up children all of whom we massaged as babies. We loved it and it has continued to enrich our family life. She trained as an Infant Massage Instructor with the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) in 2006. The IAIM operates in more than 30 countries around the world and aims. She runs classes in different venues in and around Leicester. Also she runs sessions for individuals or groups of friends in the customer’ own homes or herself.
Aromatherapy and Massage
She has an aromatherapy and massages practice and specialize in full body massage for relaxation and stress control. She is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT). She also teaches school groups on an exciting and innovative education programmed at the University of Leicester Botanic garden.
Services:
This is a daily programmed of clothed peer massage for primary schools. Research has shown it can reduce bullying, and improve self esteem, relationships in the class and overall behavior. At first they create a calm atmosphere for learning. She is a trained instructor with the Massage in Schools Association.
Every course consists of 5 ninety-minute sessions. This includes a chance to relax with a drink and exchange ideas and experiences with other parents as well as learning the full baby massage and the special colic habit on your baby. They talk about a range of topics including how to adapt the massage as your baby grows up. Massage isn’t just for babies, it’s for life!!
The course is for learning the massage but the important time for doing it is at home. She uses a towel for your baby to lie on, a spare nappy and all you need for a feed. She will provide a basin of hot water. The room will be warm to massage the babies so wear layers! She provides one to one course at her home and for groups in your own homes. She generally works at her home in Leicester city and at other warm and comfortable venues around Leicestershire (gym, village hall, people’s homes etc). She starts a course most months of the year.
