About Julie Urquhart MFHT Mobile Massage Therapist
Mobile massage Cardiff, Penarth, Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. For a massage therapist that can provide a wide range of massage therapy options come to Julie Urquhart Mobile Massage Therapist.
I'm a mobile massage therapist based in the centre of Cardiff. I've got 9 years of experience in massage therapy, and I'm looking forward to treating you in the comfort of your own home. I have a wealth of experience in techniques such as deep tissue, sports massage, hot stones, bamboo massage, aromatherapy and reflexology.
One of the main problem areas that my clients point out to me are tight neck and shoulders. This can cause pain, stiffness, and headaches. Also it can have a knock on effect on other areas of the body for example chronic neck and shoulder tension can be a contributing factor with Carpal tunnel syndrome. Massage can be a huge help, however you need to look after yourself day to day to get to the root of the problem. Here are a few tips
Get some heat on it, warmth on a tight muscle like a warm bath, or a hot water bottle, wheat bag etc, can work wonders when it comes to soothing pain and relaxing tissues. Just 15 minutes or so should be ok.
After the warmth does some gentle stretching while the muscles are soft so they will be more pliable after the heat.
Watch your posture! It’s such a big factor in back pain. Yoga can be a great help.
Stretching through the day, this doesn't have to be a structured session, just take a bit of time to move your body in ways you wouldn’t normally, especially if your work keeps you static, you need keep your body awake! So shoulder rolls, hip circles, bending from side to side, stretching your neck gently from side to side, and so on.
It’s the little things every day that make a difference! If you have any questions, or would like any advice feel free to get in touch.
